Wood Frog egg masses usually appear in pools around the same time as Spotted Salamander eggs. These eggs masses can consist of up to 1,500 individual eggs. Pictured here is a Wood Frog egg mass notice the small black embryo at the center of every egg, and the lack of an outer matrix.
