The USC has recently begun an outreach effort to
challenge stakeholders to take ownership in the issues affecting their watersheds as well as the Chesapeake Bay.
Several different strategies have been developed to help the USC reach its goals.
The first step in the USC's outreach plan is to reach the public through public meetings in each of the counties in the watershed. At these meetings, informed individuals will share information related to the status of the Chesapeake Bay, how New York is affected by this issue, and informative materials.
Targeted audiences for public meetings are as follows:

Additionally, the Outreach Work group plans to sign watershed residents up to receive the "Bay Journal" a free publication produced by the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay. This journal will help to keep residents informed about all current issues. Interested individuals can receive either a paper copy, or a digital copy of the Journal.
